The Veil is Beginning to Burst, by Rose Datoc Dall (prices $60 - $375)

  • The title, "the Veil is Beginning to Burst" comes from the hymn text of “The Spirit of God.” The second verse says "The Lord is extending the Saints’ understanding... The knowledge and power of God are expanding; the veil o’er the earth is beginning to burst." ("The Spirit of God," Text: William W. Phelps, 1792–1872. Sung at the Kirtland Temple dedication in 1836. Music: Anon., ca. 1844)

In this painting, I imagined the veil parting for a moment to reveal a glimpse of our Heavenly Parents.
